Bandana or bandama?
Or maybe a scarf, a handkerchief, a shawl? It turns out that we have before us a product so unusual that we don't even know what it's actually called. Due to their long and interesting history, and important role in culture and pop culture, we decided to call them "bandanas".
Our bandanas have classic dimensions of 49 x 49 cm and are made entirely of 100% thin cotton. In order to maintain the vivid and saturated colors of the designs, we used a digital printing technique, which guarantees that the colors will remain intense even after many washes. Thanks to a bandana with a print, you can always have your favorite graphic close to you. And among the motifs: jungles, oceans and precious minerals. Wildness and tenderness. 9 designs to choose from. It won't be easy to decide on one :)
Women's or men's bandana?
Bandanas are found in many cultures and religions as head coverings, mainly among women. They are worn in various forms by Orthodox Jewish women, Muslim women, and Christian women from the Orthodox Amish sect. Bandanas have also found their place in pop culture thanks to their popularity among hip-hop fans in the 90s. They were a favorite accessory of stars such as Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, and Beyonce. Interestingly, American stars were not inspired by the rich, feminine lineage in using the bandana, but quite the opposite - they liked the gangster style, in which a bandana tied around the neck rather evokes associations with the male stereotype of a brave cowboy or Harley rider. How is it that in such a style they look so feminine?
How to wear bandanas?
It is hard to believe how many uses this small, inconspicuous in its form scarf has. Traditionally, it was used as a headscarf covering the hair. Today, it most often appears as a bandana around the neck, i.e. a neckerchief. But there are still completely new applications in which bandanas are perfect. A bandana can be found as a belt for trousers, as a bracelet on the wrist, or simply tied to a bag, as a subtle color accent - and in each of these roles, a bandana can appear in at least a few surprising variations! Small and delicate, yet it definitely emphasizes or changes the character of our outfit. The world is constantly changing, and bandanas always find their place in new realities. It turned out that a bandana also works perfectly as a scarf to cover the face! Although the cotton from which it is made is thin, folded in half gives two layers of material that will effectively cover us from the influence of external factors. And the triangular shape makes breathing much easier than when using typical masks. A face bandana can therefore replace them in all those situations when a professional mask is not necessary, e.g. during a walk in the park. It seems that this is not the end of their rich history and they still have a long and interesting career ahead of them :)
